While I was studying formulating, I was also studying Apitherapy. What is apitherapy? It’s related to all things pertaining to the bees and beehive products and how those products affect the human body. While I understood the powerful affects of bee venom from being stung – to help with blood diseases, arthritis, immune issues, etc., I didn’t realize until I myself was getting a treatment done on my knuckle that has bugged me for at least a decade.

Sometimes it pays to network while you’re building your knowledge! My friend Lisa who was doing the treatment here in Reno, NV, and I were discussing what I was learning and she agreed that it was great for stimulating collagen as well as all the other benefits where the bee stings were being applied. After she offered to do some micro-tapping on my face with the remaining venom in the last stinger, I quickly wanted to concoct products that would duplicate this effect on a daily basis so someone could have the benefits every day!

Once I returned from Romania from a week’s worth of intensive training and a better understanding of how I wanted to incorporate bee products into my skincare, bee venom is the first one to come into formulation! While extracted bee venom is a physician-prescribed additive, I have tested multiple versions of the formulation in both the toner and serum that I’ve added it to and the best all-purpose dose is about .5%. While I have used it and have altered my formulation to 1% of the venom in my products, I mostly use mine at night (not out in the sunlight / UV rays) and not with other active ingredients that may cause any reactions or contraindications.

There will also be additional 🐝 products in the line up such as propolis and royal jelly products but this is my signature introductory products! I hope you decide to try them!
