If you aren’t familiar with the practice of Gua Sha – maybe you should be! As I’m honing my skills in the formulation realm, I’ve always leaned towards natural and holistic alternatives. Social media usually lures me in so I’m always wanting to try ALL. THE PRODUCTS…. I’m sure that’s the main reason why social media is so addictive!

While my friend gets frequent lymphatic massages and has a facial gua sha stone, something just clicked in me today and I went down the rabbit hole! I’ll admit, I treated myself for Christmas with this body scraper from diamandia.myshopify.com – but IN MY DEFENSE… I got a 20% coupon for signing up! After doing some research on what was in the facial oil formulas and in reviewing her body oil, I got inspired to try my own! I can’t wait to try her body scraper with my RNA/DNA Complex Gua Sha Body Oil!

I’m starting small first with the facial Gua Sha stone and incorporating this a couple times per week. I haven’t decided if it’s easier in the shower with my facial cleansing oil or at night before bed.

Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese Traditional Medicine technique that involves scraping the skin with a stone, metal or wood tool that is meant to remove inflammation and toxins, improve circulation, help with lymphatic drainage, promote anti-aging (with collagen promotion) and may potentially relieve pain. Gua Sha literally translates to “scraping away illness”) and when you have a tool or order one, facial directions are included and can be done daily. You will need to find the pressure that’s right for you and recuperation time in between treatments with different pressures as you don’t want to be too firm on your face.

If you have extremely sensitive skin, this procedure may aggravate your skin so you need to start small and gently before getting too carried away!
